Technology from an older perspective...

Well, here goes - I've been itching to write something about the technology that surrounds myself and my family (and for that matter, THE WORLD) for quite some time now; but I couldn't quite figure out just how I could comfortably find my niche. What angle could I utilize that would make me readable? How could I come up with ideas and topics that would stand out enough to get more than my immediate friends to read this?

Well, while zipping around the internet today, I landed on a profile of Pete Cashmore - the 23-year-old CEO of mashable.com (for the life of me, I swear I can't find the damn article now...)

23 years old. Wow.

I remember all the stuff I was going to do when I was that young - and I am happy to report that much of it came to pass:  produced / directed films, wrote, lived all around the country (Chicago, LA, NY, Dallas...) - I was downright bohemian for quite a portion of my life.

Now I'm in a different stage. Technology has thrust me into the status of "digital immigrant" and I've decided to wear the label proudly - and attempt to absorb and disseminate as much of this information as I possibly can, via this blog.

We'll see how it goes.
